Freenode Bitcoin IRC log archive

A single compressed archive of early IRC logs from the Freenode channels #bitcoin-dev, #bitcoin-core-dev and #bitcoin-otc, one plain text file per channel with a tab-separated timestamp, nickname and message on each line. Bryan Bishop publishes it together with an OpenTimestamps proof of the archive. It covers the years before the daily gnusha.org logs begin; only messages are kept, so joins, parts and other channel events are missing.

gnusha.org Bitcoin development IRC logs

Daily plain text logs of the IRC channels used for Bitcoin Core, Lightning and protocol development, one file per channel per day in irssi format with one line per message, join, part or topic change. A logging client sits in the channels and the files are served as plain directory listings. Useful for tracing how a change was discussed; much of the traffic comes from notification bots.
