Yes, can confirm this would be helpful. I've been
git reset --soft HEAD~ning to do this, where n is the number of commits I've made in total. The right was is less tedious. - fanquake cross-referenced this on May 10, 2016 from issue [doc][trivial] Add basic git squash workflow [skip ci] by fanquake
