Travis is deprecating the `sudo` keyword and moves everything to
the same infrastructure (sudo really selects between two infrastructures).

looks like the sudo: required was explicitly added in 149641e8fc9996da01eb76ffe4578828c40d37b5 (#7487) to switch to the other infrastructure
now that we're running the tests in docker I doubt this is needed anymore, so concept ACK

sudo will still be required, but now that it is the default (and only option available) it makes it redundant.
